To work on this project, I pointed my camera downwards walking on the streets and alleys of Venice capturing these "homeless souls" that used to belong somewhere else. These things that are seen as trash, unwanted, valueless, out of the place, awkward, despair, are once being desired, purchased, owned, carried around. There are some uncanny feels in them as the surrealists would say when familiar object being looked at in an unfamiliar way. The emptiness and something oddly lively about them draws me in the story of these things as I start to imagine their unknown, untold past and present.
